Arachidonic acid is essential for brain and visual nerve development. Multiple tests have shown that the average Mental Development Index (MDI) of breast-fed and ARA+DHA infant formula fed infants scored 7 points higher than that of infants who consumed ordinary formula without ARA & DHA. Tests have also showed that there was a 3.16 point difference in the cognitive ability between the breast-fed or ARA+DHA formula fed infants and the ordinary formula fed infants.

    ARA is one of the most important Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (PUFA) because it is the precursor substance of 20-carbon derivatives such as prostaglandin, leukotrienes and A2 TXA2 . These derivatives benefit physiological activity and immunoregulation.

 

    Cabio has two product series: CABIO ARA oil and microencapsulated ARA powder.

    CABIO ARA oil has a pure natural triglyceride structure and good fatty acid composition. The product has a pleasant odor and a bright color with an extremely low acid value and peroxide value. All products are thoroughly tested to verify it is free of contaminants such as heavy metals and chemical residues.

    CABIO ARA powder has been strictly designed to meet the specific requirements of the infant formula production process. It has good particle size, flowability, dispersibility, color and odor. A vegetable fungi oil extracted from Mortierella alpina ALK-1, Arachidonic acid rich (40% ARA) single cell oil.

Appearance

The product is a clear yellow liquid (at 40), homogeneous and free from foreign impurities.

Odour

Odor is clean and characteristic, flavor is free from rancidity

The label clearly displays the name, batch code, production date. All product come  with certificate of analysis. Codes used on the label is sufficient to allow traceability from back to origin.

 

Stability and Storage

The product should be stored in the tightly closed original packaging in a cool and dry condition. It should be used as soon as possible after opened. The product in original packaging has an expiry date of 6 months at ambient temperature; And, has an expiry date of 12 months at a temperature of 0-10 ; or has an expiry date of 24 months if it is kept frozen ( -20).

 

Packaging

The product is packed in aluminium foil bag at 1Kg or 5Kg under vacuumize or in aluminum can at 5Kg under nitrogen. Bags are packed in card board boxes.
